I fell in love with this fruit pattern at JoAnn's, and made this little pants for Jubilee on Christmas Eve.
And they turned out so cute, I had to make a pair for Avi and Tucker too. I love them. Of course, when a certain husband I know saw the brown polka dotted pants on Tucker, he said,
"Is he wearing Avi's pants?" to which I replied,
"No, they're his...I made them for him".
"Oh...cause they look like girl pants".
But that's okay...I like them and so does Tucker (and apparently Chuck would like them... on Avi)
The next day, Chuck came in from playing in the snow with the kids and said, "That's got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen!" referring to this skirt for Avi.
The photo's a bit overexposed, so you can't see the little pattern on the pink part of the skirt...but trust me, it's cute.
Mordecai spied a bit of flannel gecko material I bought, and wanted pajamas out of it. There wasn't quite enough (it was a remnant I bought for a dollar)...however I noticed he was wearing a pair of pants that were fraying horribly around the bottom. The pants were looking so worn I didn't want Mordecai to wear them out of the house anymore. In a flash of brilliance (or insanity) I cut the cuffs off
and replaced them with flannel. Mordecai loves them, and even Chuck thinks they're cute :) I plan to applique a swatch of the gecko material onto a shirt to match.
This sewing thing can be addicting...I've found myself scouring the internet for new sewing ideas...
