Our local theatre hosts a series of educational productions each year. I bought tickets to several, and our first was an hour long production of Charlotte's Web. I knew a handful of my fellow homeschooling moms were attending. Hilary and I decided that was enough of a reason to host a party.
In preparation, I read the book aloud to my children then we watched the movie.
After attending the play with our friends everyone headed over to our place for a celebration. We had a few themed games (pin the tale on Wilbur, coloring pages and mazes). And of course themed snacks. I just love my friends and their creativity.
We had:
* Pigs in the Mud
* Pigs in a Blanket (hot dogs in crescent rolls)
* Pig Slop (Chex mix in a trough shaped dish)
* Manure Piles (no bake cookies)
* Rotten Eggs (deviled eggs)
* Runts (because Wilbur was a runt)
* And even Charlotte herself
I forgot to take a picture of the spider web until the end of the party.
But I suppose this is an even better photo. Every single bite of food was eaten. I suppose I shouldn't be be surprised. We did after all have a total of 30 children over that afternoon...
