I was once again invited to the Gift of Time party put on by a blog reader and friend of a friend (although now I suppose we qualify as friends, since we've met in real life, but I love the way the blog played a part in all this).
Our family doesn't celebrate Halloween. We never have, but we do celebrate the Reformation. Our church used to have a Reformation Celebration, but hasn't done it in a few years. Hilary and I decided to host our own this year. The focus was simply to have fun and learn a little along the way. We studied the life of Martin Luther, and since this all took place during the Medieval times the children dressed in Medieval costumes. We had knights, princesses, peasants and Scotsmen.
Disclaimer: the following event is in no way, shape or form supposed to represent an actual Japanese dinner. We were just having fun...
Oh man. Still tired from our big two day camp. So instead of rhapsodizing on the subject, I'll post some photos and a list of activities. If you have any specific questions, leave them in the comments, and I'll answer them tomorrow.
