This is sweet little Abigail the baby whose birth I photographed last week. I love going back and doing newborn photos for the babies whose  births I was present at. It is so much fun to see them again. Of course, Abigail is the baby of a friend of mine, so I'll be getting to see her plenty!

Well, my friends, we have arrived at the big day!  Today is Apollo's appointment in Seattle with the pulmonologist. As our doctor predicted, he is still spotted but not sick. I will, of course, update you on his visit tomorrow and will very likely post a few  photos on Facebook today. Chuck is coming along and quite determined that we get some answers

And speaking of photos on Facebook, my favorite feature of my new iPhone 4s? The 8 megapixel camera. It is so awesome to know that I can use it like a point and shoot...I took plenty of photos on my old iPhone, but print quality was quite poor. 

Shoot, with products like this I may  give up my Canon all together. And for those of you without the new iPhone? Check out these. Then again, if you're really attached to your current lenses, this might be the product for you.

Lydia 14 Days {Bellingham Newborn Photographer}

It is always so much fun to go back and do the newborn photos of the babies whose births I've photographed. In Lydia's case, I was able to do her newborn photos right in the very same room where she was born. What fun!

Sweet Abigail {Bellingham Newborn Photographer}

Wow, what is it with babies coming in clusters? I was totally swamped in December/January with births and newborns...February, March and April were slow, and now I'm drowning in babies again (not that I mind!) Two births so far this month, and another one coming up...and then sweet little Abigail. Oh my goodness, is she perfect or what?! Well, yesterday was day for of dairy free for Apollo and me...Sunday he was uncharacteristically happy...but maybe he was just having a good day. Yesterday...happy. This morning, happy and frisky. I am afraid to get my hopes up that this is the answer to his breathing and weight gain issues, but I am cautiously optimistic- that's for sure. 

At the doctor yesterday his weight was down to 16 pounds 7 ounces...that's less than his nine month weight. But the doctor believed it was perfectly reasonable that it was an allergy to milk and/or reflux. Because Apollo had a good two days we decided to wait on the reflux medicine...the doctor said any time I felt like I wanted to try it, just call and he'd call in the prescription, but he'd like to give the dairy free a good two weeks. I agreed to this, but if he gets completely miserable again, we'll pick up the meds.

Also, yesterday for the first time ever, he sat in his high chair during dinner with no screaming...when he was done eating, he sat and finger painted/played until we were done. You know, like a regular old baby does...this morning he is frisky and happy...

And last night...he took his first steps! He let go of the wall, stood on shaky legs, and stepped over to his exersaucer...he repeated it a couple of minutes later. I know I should be happy, but it makes me kind of sad...what makes my baby think he can walk???

Yowser, I've been busy over here. We just had two weeks of activities/appointments every day...I had to run errands to day and go to the dentist tomorrow, but then things should slow down a bit. I hope.

Daiven {Bellingham Newborn Photographer}

Here's s little sneak peek of Daiven's newborn shoot. You can view Daiven's birth photos here. Daiven was twelve days old when I shot these photos. And his hair, you would not believe how thick it is in real life!

As I was processing this photo, I couldn't help but think of a photo I took of his old  brother, Clark...it was driving me crazy, so I went and searched my harddrive and came up with this:

Can you believe how much these two look alike? According to my records, Clark was eleven days old in this photo.

This is why I'm such a strong believer in newborn photography. Capturing these fleeting moments....

I also photographed Davien and Clark's oldest brother, Brady in October 2007...he was the very first newborn I ever shot. Click here to get a good laugh (or, alternately, to see how much I've improved!)

Miriam {Bellingham Newborn Photographer}

I was there to photograph little Miriam's birth a week ago and yesterday did her newborn shoot. It's amazing how much they grow and change in just a week.

Miriam was a total doll and chill as could be.
