I sat down at the computer to blog today, when a certain three year old approached me and asked me to read him a story.
And naturally, I chose to spend time with this little guy rather than blog.
Then everyone else was awake, and I had to hit the ground running. Breakfast, laundry, room inspections, and school. I read a chapter out of Kit's Birthday, then on to Story of the World.
The children tried their hand at ancient cuniform, and Persian writing.
And some children transformed their cuniform tablets into Roman soldiers with really big swords. Then it was time to help children with math and reading. Then lunch, next I helped the little boys clean their room, it was nap time, and a friend arrived. Then the little ones were up and Grandma and Grandpa surprised us with doughnuts.
And now, here I am. Whew.
To the commenter who asked about he first photo of Liberty, I made no adjustments to her eyes. Those beautiful catchlights came from positioning her in front of the sliding glass doors. Since the light was shining in the darker room, the light is clearly visible in her eyes. If you pay attention to people's eyes when you are out and about, you'll begin to learn about which situations provide the light you're looking for.
